Welcome to PoundPost. By accessing or using our website or apps (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PoundPost.

These Terms apply to all users, including buyers, sellers, and visitors.

 


1. What PoundPost Is

PoundPost is an online local marketplace that allows users to list, buy, and sell items and services. PoundPost does notown, inspect, store, ship, or guarantee any items listed on the platform.

Transactions take place directly between users.

 


2. User Accounts

To list or interact on PoundPost, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate account information

  • Not impersonate others or create fake accounts

We may suspend or delete accounts that break our rules or cause harm.

 


3. Listings and Selling Rules

Listings must be:

  • Accurate and truthful

  • Legal within the UK

  • Your own property or something you have the legal right to sell

Prohibited listings include:

  • Weapons, illegal substances, stolen goods

  • Fraudulent tickets or documents

  • Hate or harmful content

  • Adult/explicit services

We may remove any listing at our discretion.

 


4. Messaging

Our messaging system is for buyers and sellers to communicate.
We may investigate messages if:

  • Fraud is reported

  • Abuse or harassment is reported

  • Safety concerns are raised

  • Required by law

 


5. Payments & Purchases

PoundPost offers:

  • One-off listing credits

  • Boosts / Bump Ups / Featured placements

  • Optional subscription plans

iOS Users (Apple App Store)

Auto-renewing subscriptions and purchases are handled through Apple.
You can manage or cancel via:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

Android Users (Google Play Store)

Auto-renewing subscriptions and purchases are handled through Google Play.

Website Users

Website payments are processed via Stripe.

We do not store or see your full payment card details.

 


6. Refunds

Because PoundPost provides digital services that activate instantly, we generally do not offer refunds except where required by UK consumer law.

However, if something goes wrong, contact support and we will help where fair.

 


7. Boosts, Featured & Bump-Ups

Boosts and promotional upgrades:

  • Apply instantly

  • Do not guarantee a sale

  • May have time limits

  • Are one-time purchases unless clearly stated otherwise

 


8. Marketplace Responsibility

Because sales are between users:

  • PoundPost is not responsible for the quality, condition, delivery, or legality of items

  • Users should check items in person where possible

  • Always meet in safe, public places

If a serious issue occurs, report the user or contact support.

 


9. Account Suspension

We may restrict or suspend accounts for:

  • Scams or fraud

  • Abusive behavior

  • Repeated rule violations

  • Chargebacks or payment abuse

  • Selling illegal or dangerous items

We do this to keep the platform safe.

 


10. Your Data & Privacy

Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, available at:

11. Liability

PoundPost is not liable for:

  • Losses during private transactions

  • Items not as described

  • Disputes between buyers and sellers

  • Delivery issues or damaged goods

We provide the platform — not the transaction itself.

 


12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally.
If changes are significant, we may notify you.
Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
